You know the way kids say certain words in their own special way and half of you wants them to speak clearly and properly and half of you wants them to never stop saying it because it is so cute and so them? Carly had lots of these words, but we sadly realized she is only down to 2.
Yogret for yogurt and parmage for parmesan. No amount of correcting is getting her to change, either. We play this fun game:
Me: Can you say parm
Carly: parm
Me: e
Carly: e
Me: san
Carly: san
Me: parmesan
Carly: parmage
And this one:
Me: say yo-GURT
Carly: yo-GRET
Some her past words were draw-draw-bury (strawberry), roo-roo-beer (root beer), and Ya-you was what she first called Leo when he was born.
I can't wait to see what kind of words Leo comes up with.
PS - you don't think Carly will be in line for lunch in high school and say "oh good, they have draw-draw-bury yogret today", will she?
